S60 2.4t 2001 shifter knob repair kit

Hi everybody, this will be my first post on MVS, I have had 7 Volvos and currently own 5. My friends S60 has a broken shifter knob, and he was quoted $75 for the part + labor at a local garage, I saw the one on IPD's web site, but it is for the S70 or 1998-2000 model year, I didn't see one for the new ones. Has anybody had anything like that? Also what will be a good price for a driver's door handle (inside) It seams that for some reason his S60 has been breaking inside quite a bit- may be due to Sun exposure in FL, I have same year V70 driven in MA most of the time and sure enough interior is in super shape, in spite of the minor rust down and under.

I can't find the shifter online.

VADIS says the door handle is integrated with the door panel. I assume this means you have to buy the whole door panel just to get a new handle.

I imagine that would be quite expensive.

You could try some of the salvage yards online to see if you can beat the dealer price. www.vandsautodismantlers.com and www.erievovo.com are two.
