850 T5 Won't Start now i've replaced engine

Post by nidgedb »

I have a Mreg (94-5) 850 5 Estate. Due to oil pump failure i have replaced the engine with a secondhand unit. It turns over fine but there is a buzzing from the a module behind the frot slam panel that is associated with the coil. If i take the lead from the coil the the coil arcs across to he lead continuously. Also this happens to one of the plug leads to the plug if i remove it.

i thort i would check the diag modules for codes but the ingnition/fuel side of the unit when plugging lead into A2 when i press the reset button the said buzzing intensifies & the L.E.D stays dimly lit.

Is any of this linked to the starting problem & if so what could i look for or replace

Cheers
Nidge
