S60 CD changer removal

Hi, I have a Volvo S60 2005 model. Yesterday a silver disc was on the top of an ejected CD and it may be a disc spacer I think its worth looking at the possibility of re-inserting this in the "6"CD player. Can you advise how I can remove the CD player as the trim on front seems very tight and reluctant to move. When I get the player out do you have any tips on accessing the interior.

I posted a S60 Cd removal request on 19th and wonder what the expected time for a reply will be. Should I be looking elsewhere on the site for a reply?

I'm sorry you haven't gotten a reply.
Does your car have the pen holder at the very bottom of the console? If so (or if there's a spacer), the first step would be to pry it out...then you'll see screws to loosen the climate unit...then the radio is above this. All fit together one on top of each other. Once the radio is out, I have not clue- I suppose there are screws to get into it as well- that's what I would try. Anyway, all of this should be done with the battery disconnected and when you reconnect the battery's negative cable, your key should be in position II.

Thanks or getting back to me. The S60 2005 does not have a pen holder in the console. You may need to see one in order to understand the problem,. I expect the silver trim around the Radio/CD/AC console needs removing but the trim at the gear lever may need to be removed first. The surrounding trim bead is very tight and I dont want to make any further attempts at removal until I speak to someonewho has done his before.
