2001 S40 Brake vibration

Hi everybody.
Recently buy a 2001 S40 and in my first week I realize that the brakes are reacting quit odd especially when I strongly hit the brakes.
I really appreciate any advices from you. Thanking you.....

If it is a vibration I wou suspect the rotors. If it grabbing/slipping you may have glazed pads. We need a little more detail...
