940 turbo 1995 CR-915 cassette radio amplifier issue
940 turbo 1995 CR-915 cassette radio amplifier issue
Does anyone out there know whether the orig. equip. CR-915 radio had an internal amplifier or it was separate (under the steering column)? I'm getting both answers from different sources. Since the aftermarket radio I'm installing has it's own it is imperative to know when rewiring the new one. Thanks Clay

My wiring diagrams for the '95 940 show three combinations: without amp, with external amp and with internal amp.
Check the back of the radio to see if there is a DIN lead in the amp socket. That would indicate there is an external amp and you should be able to find it by following the lead..
Bill.
