radio fuse keeps blowing

Post by tomfahysr »

C-70 convert 1998 After correcting loose neg battery connection, radio fuse blown. Ignition off, key out, battery connected. Radio in unknown on /off position. As replacing fuse, it blew in my hand.

I bought a box of fuses and did everything i could think of down to disconnecting and re connecting the battery. The fuse keeps blowing.
All other electrical systems seem to function properly.
Any ideas??? Thanx for any help. Tom

Although not specified for the C70, when reconnecting the battery on other models the ignition switch must be in position 2. This is to prevent a surge which could set off the SRS system. It may also work for the radio.

If this does not work I would be looking for a bare wire on the radio circuit touching metal.
