Noise from front brakes

Post by Guest »

I have a 99 S70. I drove in the snow today and braked hard as someone dashed across the road. I heard a crunching noise and something that sounded like a spring popping. Also, the pedal felt like it was resisting the pressure applied by my foot. Any idea what happened?

was it the first time in the snow with your volvo? that's probably just your antilock brakes going into effect.
