I posted this before but I recently purchased a used 850 and received 2 keys and no remotes - most of you here agreed that I could purchase a remote, program it, and be off to the keyless races.
I was at a V repair facility yesterday and noticed that where my car has a blank spacer, others there had an electronic 'eye' similar to those which may be used to receive signals from remotes. It is a 1" by .5" spot in the lower center of the windshield on the dash.
Anyone with remote entry have a blank spacer there? I think my 850 may not have remote entry. Or, what the heck is that sensor for?
Merry Christmas.

Keyless entry - stock on all 850's? Topic is solved

Mr. Norm
There is not any receiver 'eye' for the remote. The remote operates via RF like a garage opener, not IR like a TV remote.

So, there is a possibility that my 850 has keyless entry, but no alarm? I'll get on keylessride.com and order a remote, then....or ebay.
Thanks fellas.
