99 s80 radio code

I recently had trouble with the alternator, and the mechanic fixed it but he said since my battery was unplugged, the radio won't work and he doesn't have the code to fix it. Does anyone know where I can get the code? Cost?

Should be free from a dealer if you provide the VIN (and probably proof of ownership).

My 99 S80 has never needed any radio codes after battery disconnect. Just the pre set stations need to be reset. I have the premium sound system and have disconnected the battery many times due to another problem of which I am still tracking.
