Hot start issues - 2001 XC70

Hello, new to this forum, seeking any input into an odd hot start issue with my 2001 XC70. Fires great when cold, however when hot, and an intermittent problem, will start but fires pretty weak and sometimes have a burning smell which comes in through the vents, not oil but more electrical, not every time. Anyways, I am guessing ignition related, possible bad coil? Any suggestions or others heard anything like this? Thanks for any input.
