2007 XC headlight washer fuse?

Post by mdross1 »

It's time to disable headlight washers. The manual shows that it is under the steering column at #34 position, hopefully it is there. The picture of the fuse block in the manual does not show a postion #34.Also concerned about working with plastic panels in this cold Maine weather.

I don't know about the # on the fuse, but I think that panel will essentially be held on by two torx screws that you should be able to feel or see if you poke your head up in there. From recollection this panel is one of the easier ones inside the car to take on/off. Good luck

Could someone tell me where this panel is.Looking under the steering wheel and around the footwell certainly is not obvious where the access panel is.

If you've got your hand on the underside of the steering column, slide it downwards toward the gas pedal after a short distance move it left and right and you should be able to feel two torx screws (one on each side of the panel). The panel may have the footwell light in it as well. You remove these screws and from memory slide the panel down slightly toward the floor of the car and it should come out.
