V70 Clicking Relay in DDM

Hi

I have a 2002 V70 the drivers door DDM started clicking occasionally, at the same time the drivers door lock stopped working and the battery would drain over night. This has progressively got worse and the DDM clicks continuously and no functions work on it. Volvo dealer hooked it up to the computer and says PDM is not working and DDM works occasionally.
All seems to work fine with PDM in car locks and windows.
I have checked DTC's this confirms that PDM is set yet it has not set DDM, ECM, CCM or REM.

At one point I did get the DDM to set, clicking stopped all functions worked fine however after locking the car after a few hours on opening the drivers door the problems started again.

In order to function I have removed the fuse to the front doors and lock manually rear doors lock on the fob.

Obviously the cost of replacing the two parts is huge so I am looking for some suggestions or checks I can make.

For Info:
In between posting the question I found a secondhand DDM on ebay same year and model. Fitted it and all works fine now.

Considering the shop wanted to charge me £800 I think £24 was a result!!
