v70 tail gate will not unlock

I have a v70 station wagon. The tail gate will not unlock electronically. Is there any way to manually unlock it? Is there any way to home-fix the problem or is this for the Volvo service department?

The new v70 have an electronic taildoorlock and can not be opened manualy. There have been some problem whith the REM=RearElectronicModule on some of those cars.The REM controls every electronic device on the back of the car.If the REM doesn

Thanks for the suggestion. I pulled and re-inserted all the fuses in the tail gate section but the tail gate will still not unlock. I assume that the locking mechanism is broken. How do I get to the tail gate lock?

To get to the tailgate lock you are going to do this.
Start by getting in to the lugagecompartment. Remove the panels of the tailgate,start with the UPPER part that goes round the window. Bend it carefuly so you don
