The cabin filter can be found under the glove compartment, protected by a plastic cover which is put in place by two T25 torx screws.

The cover can be removed by pulling and pushing down; one might experience some resistance, but that is perfectly normal.

Once the cover is removed, there is a white housing with yet another plastic cover (black in color) held in place by 4 T25 torx screws (the directions are wrong with the filter; only 2 screws were mentioned).

Once the screws are removed, the black cover comes off very easy.

The cabin/pollen filter sits vertically in the white housing and can be removed by pulling carefully down.

In my case the old filter was very dirty and I am not quite sure how long it has been since it was replaced.

The new one certainly looked better…

This is what the white housing looks from the inside…

Make sure the filter is placed in correctly (plastic tab on top) and insert the filter up.

Should slide in very easy.

Here it is flush in the housing.

Install the black cover again…

…and then line up the tabs on the outer cover to install it. Here is the left side…

…and the right side. The tab has to be pushed into the hole on this end.

There you go, new cabin/pollen filter installed. The filter at my local auto parts store cost me $20 (a little high, I thought)…next one will come from the internet; regardless this replacement took me about 10 minutes and was very easy indeed.
