99 S80 Navigation

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

99 S80 Navigation

Post by Rougesvp »

Folks,

New to the 'site, looks to have some great info'. I have a S80 T6, had all the usual probs... heater core, fuel pump, gas tank etc. Runs like a dream despite all this (reaching to touch wood!). 86k, most comfortable car ever!

I have the nav' package and don't have the Texas DVD which I need, living in TX. Anyone have one to trade/sell. I have CA, NV (I think).

Cheers!

Dont mean to rain on your parade but has the transmission been looked at? Do you have full history? Because when it fails (and it will) you wont have any warranty and the satnav would be the least of your problems.
I have a 98 T6 with only 57k milage and i am having major problems with my geartronic box.
So may i suggest you sell straight away and try and source a newer one without the GM gearbox which is on our models
Peace
Lee

I hear you... I know the trannies are one to watch. I had it flushed prior to purchase and I have a warranty. I paid less than $5k when I bought it with 70k on it and have a full Volvo history hence I know what's been done.

If you're in the UK you should be able to find a good mechanic who will look after it for you for a few pints of Stella! If you're anywhere near Bath let me know and I'll give you the no. of a guy that looked after my T5R. I demo-ed the S80 T6 when it was first released in the UK on a variety of tracks and with the Superchip it's quite the car.

225/50/17 Bridgestone Serenity tyres make a world of difference too!

Good Luck!
