leaking tranny fluid

I have a 2000 S 80 leaking tranny fluid into the CV boot. (left )is the seal on the tranny or on the CV axle ? I replaced this unit a couple of year ago with no problem but I can't remember where the seal was and don't know if a just need a tranny seal or another cv axel set up
