my overdrive is turned off and will not turn back on

my girlfriend was messing with the overdrive button when i first got the car and now i have tried to push the button to have it turned back on and it wont turn on the light on the dash is still on and my 240 will not shift into fourth gear i have no idea how to fix it i really need a quick cheap fix though if you have any ideas please tell me.

Look at fuse #11 in your fusebox panel. It is probably burnt out. I had that problem once when the rear window demister switch shorted out.

i know in my 1990 240 volvo my overdrive did the same thing , i just had to get a new plug . They cost about thrity dollars and they are located behind the glove box to the left. it shoudl be white
