V70 radio

The radio that came with our 2003 V70 worked fine for years, but in the last year, it won't hold a station. We'll be driving along, and all of a sudden it will start jumping to other stations. The CD player will also jump to other tracks. A mechanic mentioned that there was some kind of replacement program for Volvo radios. I appreciate any advice. Thanks.

I bet it's just a bad switch. You can try removing it and cleaning it similar to this:
