Sunshade/Sunroof Replacement

Post by ggarcia155 »

Has anyone had to replace the sunshade in their car? My girlfriend pushed up on it during a cold snap this winter while reaching for something in the back seat and it made a snapping/cracking sound. Now it does not slide in either direction (currently in the closed position). I didn't worry about it since it was winter, but now that spring is here I would like to open the lid. Questions I have are:

Does the sunroof need to come out to replace the sunshade?
How much and where can I find a replacement sunshade?
How prone to leaking is the sunroof once you start messing around with it?

Thanks for your responses and great forum site by the way.

All you need to do is remove the sunroof glass and then you can unclip the sunshade.
