my 2000 volvo wont start

its due to the Anitheft not sure why but its wont crank fual pump wont work how do i go by bypassing this or what do i have to do to get it fixed

Is the car an Auto? if so not cranking is usually the gear selector PNP switch at fault or dirty contacts - Mike

no its not auto start the starter is fine i checked that just the antitheft is not leting it get power to the starter and stuff its killing it only thing i know so far is maybe the key has lost its code but if thats so only way i know how to fix it is to take it to volvo its the V40 wagon

mikealder's question " Is the car an Auto?" referred to the transmission. The interlock system can cause a no start situation.

I don't have any experience with that model, but just as a generalization.....if it truly is the antitheft, there are probably some fuses you could pull to take care of that, at least temporarily.

K yes its auto ill have to check that on the trans and fuses
