Timing Belt On '89 Volvo 740 GLE 16 Valve

I am just sick about this.. I recently (2 weeks ago) bought an '89 Volvo 740 GLE 16 V, very clean car, in good shape. Well, the timing belt broke, and I know it has an interference motor, and major damage is possible. I didn't hear anything when it broke, the car just died. My question is, to anyone.. If there is damage, how much (average) is it going to cost?? Please help me!!

No luck with a new timing belt, she wouldn't crank. So I guess I'll need a valve job now..

I could just cry.
