2000 S80 T6 ETM Failure

Post by simpleline »

I have just joined this sight after experiencing a failed ETM on my 2000 Volvo S80 T6 Sedan. It has been serviced by Authorised Volvo Dealers all it's life and has just covered 117,000km. I am on the Gold Coast in Australia, and the local dealer has advised me to have a new Magneti Marelli ETM fitted @ $1650AU. I have read on your site that the ETM can be refurbished and upgraded by a Canadian Company Xemodex. Would anyone be able to advise me on how I would purchase this part in Gold Coast, Queensland. We are introducing a flat fee ETM exchange service to Australia, just like we do in USA.
All we need is your car’s VIN number so we can pre-load the ETM with correct software. Once you receive and install our ETM unit you would need to send the old one back. Inside the box you will find a pre-paid return label that you would use for the return.

Total cost is $699.00 all shipping and new gasket is included. Lifetime warranty. We accept Visa and M/C.

I just bought a used one with a lifetime for $105 delivered and it works perfectly. Car never ran so well. I dabbed some thin synthetic oil in around the plate shaft before installing.
