850 Stopped Moving

I have posted before. Previous post I posted that I had 2 codes P1020 and P1023. Also the 850 was downshifting unexpectedly and randomly. If would downshift and rev very high and then jerk back up again. Happened a few times. Now I was driving up a hill and the tranny decided to just rev up and would not continue to keep going up the hill. We got stranded. I parked it then tried reverse and drive then the lower gears as well and nothing. It just revved up. It seemed to be slip out of gear or simething. So I thought the tranny was shot. So I had it towed. The volvo garage I took it to near me cant duplicate what happed and cant figure it out. It actually drove fine once it came off of the tow truck. And 2 different people drove if today and it wouldnt do a thing. Acted perfect....of course. Any suggestions? I was thinking of a tranny flush. They charge $129 to do it. Would this help? They say the tranny could be getting too hot. But I have no idea really. Any one at all have any ideas? Anything?

Could be a bad PNP switch. If it does it again, try moving the shifter back and forth quickly from park to L about 10 times to try and clean the contacts on the switch.

I dont think its that. But it may be. Where are the contacts to clean? I will get a cleaner and I also have other things I can clean up as well while im at it. Tonight I picked the car up from the shop, Foriegn Traffic, and drove it home. It started to act up 19 miles into the drive. It downshifted a gear, my foot was not on the gas, then back up. Then down, then up. After a min or two if seemed to go into neutral and rev up and no go anywhere. I pulled over and let it sit for 10 min and started it back up and it drove fine for about 2-3 miles then again it happened. A downshift then back up, then down. Then into neutral it seemed like and it would rev up and down. Randomly. 4 times I pulled over. Luckily I was very close to home and it turned out to not be too bad. But still a headache none the less. I will be taking it back tomorrow and hopefully its acting up by the time I get there so they can witness it. Then maybe they can find an answer. If not then I will try cleaning the contacts. It seems like tho something is getting getting too hot. Not sure if the computer running the tranny is or not. But seems like something is getting hotter then normal. But then again maybe not. Any more insight would be much appreciated. Thanks.

The changing gear like crazy sounds like it could be a throttle position sensor, but I don't know why it's dropping out of gear into neutral.

Maybe that in combination with a PNP switch or bad solenoid? I'm stumped too

Ok the latest.. Drove back to garage, had to stop 8-10 times to get there. seems like car is going into neautral or tranny is
slipping.. So today the garage could duplicate and they think sluge is getting sucked up in tranny so it starts slipping. you shut off for a few minutes and it is ok for 5 minutes.. So I told them to go ahead with a tranny flush and lets hope..
