installing digital T/C boost gauge or analogue

How to go faster, stop quicker, and turn harder. Chips, exhaust, larger turbos, bigger/slotted/drilled rotors, high performance brake pads, manual boost controllers, performance shocks/struts/springs, airbox mods and more! Also discussion on HID and Xenon lights, aftermarket foglights and other exterior lighting.

installing digital T/C boost gauge or analogue

Post by charlyW »

I am thinking about installing a digital T/C Boost Gauge to work along side the on cluster one so I can get more of an idea of how much boost my T/C is generating which I don't think is much

Has anyone done this and is it even possible?

Very possible. Like any boost gauge, it will need a vacuum line and power. Here are more boost gauge posts than you can shake a stick at.

Thanks for that Matthew didnt even think about looking for any posts on the subject.

Only want one as I don't think my Turbocharger is any good doesnt seem to be swinging the needle any further than just before 3/4 others have told me it should go all the way across

30-60 Needle goes half way
60-90 Needle goes before 3/4

The car is quick very quick just the needle isnt going all the way across. All Vacuum hoses are new silicone so the vacuum is there will attempt to adjust the wastegate tomorrow

The travel of the needle usually doesn't go all the way into boost on stock turbo Volvos. Mine goes about 2/3rds. It's just the way they were calibrated.
