metal rattle noise in front end when going over bumps

Hi guys, recently i've noticed a metaling rattling noise from the front drivers side when going over bumps, i took a look underneith, moved some parts (by hand) and nothing seems outta place. I was reading around and think that it might be the spring seat, which is a common problem on the newer V70's....i tried to turn the strut mount underneith the hood by hand and it does move but slightly, the other side hardly turns....any other way of cheking this out? i do have an appointment at the dealer this week but i'd like to go there with a better diagnostic in mind, so that i don't get over charged for nothing.thanks

Check the drop links if your car has them i believe you also call them sway bar links in the USA and or check top of the strutts and spring
