V40t instrument panel lights query

Hi All,

I have a '98 Volvo V40t that has recently started to stall when I start the engine or when the car is idling. Today a warning light came on, however it is not listed in my owner's manual. Apologies in advance for the vague discription as I only saw it briefly but I think it was an orange triangle with a green forked line in the centre. The light was on the far right side of the instrument panel.

Can anyone shed any information on what the problem may be?
