Volvo 240 rear brake light

One side of my brake lights do not work. The bulb is not the problem. Neither is the bulb holder. What should I look into next? Thanks.

Check to make sure that the bulb holder electric tabs and their connections to the printed circuit are clean. Next check the ground from the printed circuit to the car body.

Sorry to hijack the post....both of my brake lights are not working but all taillights are. I've checked all the obvious (fuse, bulbs and brake switch) that I can think of, still no luck. Anyone know what else should I check? TIA

I found that the plastic parts were failing and it introduced rainwater into the bulb area, which continually fried the bulb.
