S80 Door warning lamps

How do you replace the entire door warning lamp. I have the new part, but cannot figure out how to separate the old lamp from the electrical connection going into the door. Do you just pull it apart? I am not asking how to replace the bulb, but the whole unit.

If I recall correctly, you just 'unscrew' the base/socket from the housing....
