Newby '99 S80 T6

Hello, Mates! The S80 I just bought for my daughter last fall has been a great car so far. It had, however, had the original engine replaced with a lower mileage unit by the PO. He said his wife had let the car run out of oil. I'm studying the internet forums so I can be prepared for future glitches, and also to learn about possible bug-a-boos to look out for.

Since the current engine didn't come in the car, I'd like to find out exactly what engine I have. Where on the block could I find the engine number or other designation that would let me identify it? I'm a pretty good wrench and have owned 6-8 other Volvos including a P1800, a 122S, 240, 850GL, and now this one. My wrenching experience lately is mostly BMW and M-B so I shouldn't have too much problem keeping up, but I do want to be prepared through study.
