Maybe a dumb question - but have you tried pulling out the radio and checked to see if a shop or PO may have written the code on the label - I have done this on all my volvo's just a thought.. I have bought several that have already had the code written there as well...

Never ever ever ever pay that much for an oil change!

Doing it yourself is very easy and you should only be spending about $5 for a good OEM oil filter + not much more than $30 for oil. Use a good full synthetic like Pennzoil Ultra or Platinum.

Filter is at the bottom right of the car - very easy to get to and twist off without using a wrench :)

If you haven't fixed your radio yet, pull it out and email me ALL THE NUMBERS ON THE TOP
in the order they're printed, (top to bottom, there should be 3 lines) and the model of your radio and I'll get you your code

I also have 850 radio issues. The radio that came with my 850 —not installed— doesn't work when installed. How can I test it directly from the battery? Someone on this forum said the red wires are hot, black ground. I have solid black wires, but reds are striped, two different reds with different stripes.
