So my car has been sitting for about 5 months. It only had a gallon or so of fuel in the tank. I replaced my coil packs(thats why it was just sitting) and fired it up. Ran great so I took it on the road and decided to get some more fuel. Gas station was about a mile or so from home. Car ran great the whole way there.
Now here is my problem. After I got some fuel and drove about three blocks the car started to idle rough and throwing codes.... p0154 p0171 p1171...also p0013 and p1132 but i know the cam reset valve is bad and setting those two, I plan on replacing it when I have the funds.
My question is: could I have just got some bad fuel or the fuel i had in tank was bad? Would bad fuel give me these symptoms and give me the 0171 1171 codes? I only added about 4 gallons when i fueled up.
Bad Fuel?

It might be a long shot, but I would try something like STP fuel injector cleaner. Possibly some 'gunk' from the old fuel has lodged itself in an injector(s) and is causing fuel to flow even though no signal is sent to the injector. I had this kind of 'long term fuel trim too high' on another vehicle and the STP injector cleaner dissolved the 'gunk' and got rid of the problem. It would be a rather cheap fix if it works. Just suggesting it because possibly the other codes referring to O2 sensor too high value might be caused by too rich fuel reaching the O2 sensor.???
For future reference, it is always a good idea to put some fuel stabilizer into the fuel tank of any vehicle which you foresee possibly being stored for an extended period of time to try to prevent the fuel gumming up.
