Howdy! New member here looking to get advice on how to replace a broken window regulator on a 2001 V70 2.4T. The problem window is the right rear passenger window. I have managed easily enough to remove the panels and peeled back to the foam insulation to see that one of the pulley's busted and the cable is off track. The window is stuck in the 1/2 open position. I use this car for work as a sales rep and make upwards of 12 stops per day. Right now I'm driving my gas guzzlin' Suburban until I can get this fixed. Most repair estimates (independent Volvo specialists) have come in at $325 to $370 to repair (parts and labor) and I'm coughing hard at that price. I've found the regulator part listed on-line in the $216 to $250 range and I'm hoping to do the repair myself. I've found a few prior posts here but nothing in the specifics that I'm looking for.
How do I get the old regulator out? Do I have to drill out the rivets? will the glass easily come out of the regulator track?
