122,800 miles on car
drove the car about 800 miles over the weekend. On the way back at the 600 mile mark going up some mountain passes the car seemed to drop into third. I set the car on cruise control and drove at a slower speed for the remainder of the drive. The car seemed fine at the lower speeds, say 45 - 55 and down. Have not driven the car since but it obviously no longer likes the 4th gear or me after that long drive.
Any suggestions on possible problems and fixes??
New Transmission?
