'98 V70 is shocking me!

Post by jburke »

Every time I exit my '98 V70, I get a shock. This problem just began to happen. Does anyone have an idea about this?

Thanks.

It sounds like your car is not being grounded correctly. Open the hood and on the negative terminal of the battery, you should see some blue (I think) wires that run down and bolt to the chassis of the car. Those wires help prevent the shocking thing among other important functions. If you can't find them or don't see anything like that, you can make a homemade grounding kit out of 4 guage stereo wire and some wire clamps and hook it to your strut tower.
