Shortly after (about 2 days) I brought it home from the last visit to the mechanic several things went wrong. My seat heater stopped working, the Trax light came on, and the ABS light came on. I don't know what's up with this car. Is it me the mechanic or the car? Is it time to sell? The repair bills are killing me.

S70 repairs
Just over a year ago I bought a Volvo S70. Since that time I have put nearly 2,000 in repairs into it. It has 152,000 Km's on it. The last time I had it in the Volvo mechanic wanted to replace the rad because there were some bolts missing and a cracked support or some such thing. I said no just fix whatever "had" to be done. The reason I took the car in is because it wouldn't start and I kept having to get a boost. When I got it home it still had to be boosted. I took it to Canadian Tire and they replaced the battery and now it starts fine.

If CTC can detect something your "mechanic" can't.... time for a new mechanic. Volvos are a special breed, find someone who likes them to work on. It wouldn't hurt to try the dealer once in a while..... get quote first.
