My Volvo won't starts ... it makes a click like when the battery is dead, I charged and tested the battery, battery is OK, I thouhgt it was the starter so I replaced the starter, same result, then I thought it was the ignition switch, so I replaced it, same result... one weak click and that is it. I also switched the starter relay, same result. Can anyone here help me??
What else could it be??
Thanks.

Are you absolutely sure the battery is ok? I believe a battery can show proper voltage with a meter across it, but then when you actually load it,the voltage may drop right off. My experience of the 'click only' has been a bad battery. But I have not experienced the 'click only' on my 99 S80 T6 so......????

Thanks for the response, I took the battery to O'Reilly's and they checked with the fancy meter. I checked the battery cables to ensure they are making good contact, I am dumbfounded. Any other ideas? I tired jumper cables connected to a good battery with the car running. Same results.
Hello All,
Thank you for all the responses. I found the problem. The Starter was bad. When I installed the Starter I connected the small wire between the terminal and the housing. NOT on the connector! So, when I retraced my steps I connected it correctly and Bingo, it started. I feel good that I replaced the ignition switch, at 175,000 miles it was probably next.
Thanks again. All is well that ends well!
