(Yet Another) Service Light Reset Q...

Thanks, Matthew, for the 'service light reset' summary. Either my S70 (99) is special or I'm being obtuse as it's the easiest one and I can't get it to work. I hold the odometer pin in, turn key to on, wait like that until svc lite flashes then stops, then turn off key. I have tried holding odometer pin until key is off, and, releasing it first. In either event, the svc light comes on again.

Anyone can see what I'm doing wrong?

Try turning key off before service light stops flashing

Thanks, that wasn't quite it, but you inspired me to go out and try some other permutations.

This is what worked for me:
1. Hold odometer pin in.
2. Turn on key (to III).
3. Hold pin until SVC light begins to flash. Release during flash.
4. Turn off key.

This is pretty much what is says in the FAQ but I think saying 'release during flash' is better than 'release after flash.'
