Short shift kit with 5spd. Anyone have one

Post by davis911s »

I noticed a kit on the FCP website for a short shift kit for less than $60. Just wondering if anyone has tried one??

Thanks

Hi I love it but I probably don't count because I'm the person who developed the kit. I just noticed your post and thought I should take the opportunity to chime in.

I developed that kit about a year and a half ago and between forums, FCP, ebay and direct sales here and abroad I've sold several hundred of them. I've never had one returned by a dissatisfied customer and 99% of people seem to love the way they transform the shifting qualities. I have them on all my cars, in fact that's the way my business started in the first place was making this product for my car. They are a high quality but low priced modification. My intention was to develop something that anyone could afford for their car.

The price on FCP is very good. They are listed on my website as well www.snabb.us but you can get them cheaper at FCP for now.

Hope that information helps! :)
Best regards,
Kristian woodall

Welcome, Kristian. Thanks for addressing this post. Please visit regularly.

If you have any pics/movies of your short shifter during manufacture, installation or use, please post them here (how to post YouTube vids, how to post photos) or forward to me and I will. Getting input/comments/opinion from the origin of aftermarket products is a treat for us.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

Thanks
This summer i was making one by myself but in my car it didnt work :?
I noticed that the 4th gear goes harder in then the other gears. And with the plate i had to always change the gear like:
clutch: 3th-Neutral
then again clutch: Neutral-4th (and push it hard in)
Reverse was the same

And I could not even make it so short like they make the kit - because i could not move the cable on the transmission by side.
