Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.
I noticed my brake light coming on and after some investigating i found brake fluid leaking from what looks like a connector that connetcts from the the master cylinder to the driver rear brake caliper. I have included a picture and would appreciate any advise, tips, or information in regards to my problem.
That's your brake line connected to your flex hose. There is a retainer which keeps them connected together and it has broken off. I suppose that because it is loose it has weakened the metal line and it is leaking. This is why your brake warning light is coming on most likely because your losing fluid.
You can either flare the end with the appropriate tool or replace the whole brake line.
