Feeling a shake in my front end

Post by S60owner2010 »

Hey guys new poster here. I own a 2002 S60 2.4LT. I just got new brakes which I thought might correct the issue but it didn't.

When I hit 60-65 MPH as I'm accelerating, my front end starts to shake. This only happens when I'm accelerating at the high speeds. It smooths out when I'm coasting and smooths out when I'm braking. Also, I can ever so lightly put my foot on the gas and avoid the shake as well. What could be doing this? I have an appointment for a diagnosis soon, but any info regarding what it might be and what it might cost to get repaired would be great. I have a 500 mile road trip from San Diego to San Francisco coming up.

Thanks. :D

I have an 05 S60 and had the same thing happen. Try getting your tires rotated and balanced. I think the balancing is what fixed my issue. Good luck.

cross tires 1st. balancing, 2nd, check for axle play((grab and shake)
RE: brakes, Pads only? new rotors? If the rotors are warped (unusual) you would feel it via the steering wheel,
Depending on the tires cross Xor front to back..BEST!
