Broken Light

Post by volvo850-mike »

I'm not sure even what it's called....it's that small light on the front fender (between the front tire and edge of the door) Anyways the bulb in it was burned out and in trying to remove it i heard a crunch and now it's broken! Where can I get one of these lights and how do you access it to remove it? I checked some web sites that sell parts but all they seem to have are headlights and taillights. Thanks...Mike

If the lens and bulb socket are intact some double sided trim tape will hold it in place. A body shop will have the tape

I would just assume have it fixed plus i also need to have the bulb changed too. I'm not even sure how to get to the bulb and I don't want to risk ant further damage

If I understand you right, you're probably talking about the side marker lights.

Check out this website for your replacements:

Volvo's official name for it is "direction indicator". If you don't want to wait for it to arrive in the mail, I'm sure the dealer has them in stock. The part number for it is 9178885. Also, if you're not in a hurry, I believe www.vlvworld.com has them for cheaper than EST.
