Does anyone know how to repair or replace the truck latch on my 850R. there is a rod that is disconnected and I can't figure out how to reconnect it. TIA craig

I spent some time recently on my trunk latch, the problem was the internal linear motor that does the power lock and unlock. The manual actuator rod you mention fits into the latch, but it is almost impossible to see unless you partailly remove the latch assembly and pop off the plastic cover. With that removed, you can see where the rod connects to the linkage. Re-install the rod, and snap the cover on tight--that helps hold the rod in place. You may have to disconnect the other side of the rod, where a large snap ring holds it to the key cylinder. Not a fun job, but it can be done by someone who hasn't done it before, like me.
