Hey guys,
I'm having issues starting the engine, so yesterday i changed the inyectors (with cleaned ones), fuel filter, and spark plugs (Volvo) and doing that i'm having now major problems!!! the car wont start. I'm checking now the fuel pressure regulator, i found fuel in the line for vacuum, so the regulator is damaged right? i have another one (from a volvo 850 '96) but i don't know if it is damage too, because the car wont start.
When I blow by one of the holes (vacuum line, regulator from '96), the air passes through it. And is not supposed to happen, right? This means that the membrane of the regulator is broken too? I can not draw air, but the air it passes.
Please some advices.

Normally any fuel in the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator means that it is indeed bad. I've never tried blowing or sucking on one so I don't know what is normal. The way I think they are made is that the vacuum line controls a membrane that in turn controls fuel flow out of the regulator to the fuel return line. If that is so you should be able to blow or suck any air through it unless they engineering in some kind of check valve to relieve positive pressure. They come on and off easily enough so you might want to go ahead and try it anyway.

Thanks for the feedback Lee,
I changed the regulator, that was the problem, i started the car already. The regulator from 1996 is completely different from the 1994, it works with a different pressure, even you have the same part number of inyectors in the two cars. I will post some photos later, thanks again,
Lee, i appreciate always your feedback
