Fault - fuel mixture to rich at part load.

i own a 93 volvo 850 gle, when driving along i get the fault fuel mixture to rich at part load stage, what problems could this be caused from. the car travels around town so were only doing 50 to 80 km/h any sugestions on what to do. the car i belive is mechanically sound.
