Hi,
I have a 95 turbo wagon manufactured in 12/94. I just got the car and I noticed that I have the onboard diagnostics port under the hood on the passerger side AND an OBD-II port in the center console. Is this common? I thought the 850 switched over to OBD-II in 1996? If anyone can shed some light on this I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!
Can you have OBD I and II?

i have a 95 turbo wagon... and I can only verify that mine has OBDII, I will have to check back on that OBDI.
My 94 855 Turbo has both OBD's. On the pssngr strut tower it say OBDII certified. I guess Volvo got excited and installed OBDII earlier than most other car makers. I haven't had to use either of mine but i was told my OBDII will only work for some but not all of the OBD features. So i'll have to figure out which to use for all my problems!

Well, the mystery is solved. It seems that even thought I have an OBD-II port, it doesn't work. I tried an OBD-II reader but it didn't connect or do anything. I guess all the diagnostics are coming through the port under the hood. Thanks everyone!
