S60 T2.0. 2001 Boot playing up wont close now

Does anyone know why my boot wont stay shut some times it closes then when your going along the sign comes up saying boot lid open ,is it a central locking fault or is there a fuse for this,i have a message saying alarm system needs seviceing but thats been there for along time.

I had this problem on my 850 wagon. I know the S60 is a sedan but the trunk latches to a metal bracket just like on the wagon. What was happening to me was that the bracket came loose and moved on me. I moved it back to where it belonged and made sure it was night and tight. This resolved the issue for me.

Thanks for your reply ,it was the solinoid gone wrong so we made it a manual locking boot ,as the boots in the s60 seem to work seperate when the alarm is on its ok,I might try and pick up a second hand unit later. T.Y.
