2004 S60R Headlamp assembly removal

I recently thought I had a simple bulb replacement (which I was having done at dealer). They came back to me and said the ballast was bad and would cost me over $600 to replace. I went online to Volvo parts and bought the controller which they say is the same as the ballast. i go to replace and now believe I have to back out the headlight assembly to change the controller. Can some one send me instructions to back out the headlamp assembly so I can change out the controller?
