Have a 2000 V40 with 2K on rebuilt engine all new parts, fluids, hoses, etc. Runs great except for a persistent hard knock / vibratuion coming from the right front (passenger side) wheel area. The knock occurs with each revolution of the right front wheel.
Within the past month, I have replaced both front shock/strut assembly (Bilstein OE) and something that looks like a tie rod. The car has four new tires, which I had rebalanced and rotated again last week, new callipers, and brakes.
it knocks - more so when I accelerate, and has started to chatter - almost as if the wheel might come off - or lock up - if that makes sense.
I hear no sound from the wheel area when idling or revved in neutral. All fluids have been checked. I’ve had 3 mechanics make different repairs without solving the problem. Appreciate any suggestions diagnostic tests, experiences, or sure bets.
