convince me to love my V70

Hi,
I own a V40 as a runabout (love it) , bought a V70 as family car (and wife and kids to do the school run in).
On the way home from the dealer.
a) Air-con packed up (flashing lights on dashboard) Hot day and sweaty kids in the back !
b) Indicator light fell out at 70mph dinting and scratching wing, bumper and bonnet.( Car no longer immaculate)
c) Alternator started whining.

This week rear view mirror came off in my hand during re-adjustment.

All above (apart from mirror) are to be fixed by dealer/warranty or they'll feel my wrath.

In two weeks time I've a 1500mile round trip journey to make.
Please tell me, Train/Plane or V70 ?
I need convincing.
