It's WRONG!! Just got a email with the correct routing diagram from Bud over at IPD. It was a Volvo update and they changed the belt and the routing. The new routing adds about 6 inches so it uses a different and a longer belt. I

MY THANKS BUD AND THE GUYS AT IPD! I was stuck on this one and you guys took the time over the phone to find the info and the email me a diagram of the proper routing.

It's easy just use a NEW 850 routing, the accessory bracket has the same part number as the 850, accessories have the same diameter. I know the V90 belt has a different length form the '93 960s probably due to the different tensioner.

Thanks for this post, and that diagram of the "new" belt routing.
I just did this (took belt off and put back on to investigate a noise), in about 30 minutes. I was able to borrow a great(!) serpentine belt tensioner tool from the irving/shop across the street, the guy was real helpful. I was surprised at my ability to do this with the help of that tool, and the diagram to refit it.
On a side note, I forgot to spin the related pulleys by hand to figure out which one was making the noise, because I wanted to get the tool back to the guy. I did rule out that the noise was from a timing pulley though. I think anyway.
So, I'm borrowing it again tomorrow to do it again and check the accessory pulleys by hand.
Thanks again.
